Roasted Beetroot and Whipped Feta Flatbreads

A light, vegetarian dinner recipe for two with beetroot, feta, toasted walnuts and a spicy honey drizzle. Flatbreads, pittas and naans are all high up on my list of amazing side dishes. Warm, chewy breads to dip into sauce and quality oils. And I’ll admit, for a very long time I always had shop-bought flatbreads.…

Creamy Chicken & Broccoli Pasta

A simple, affordable creamy pasta recipe with roasted broccoli. Pasta for dinner, quite frankly, never gets old in my household. Whether it’s a spicy tomato prawn pasta or a creamy, paprika sausage pasta, I know I’ll be given a thumbs up when I serve up a bowl of Italian goodness for dinner. What I love…

Spiced Butternut Squash & ‘Nduja Risotto

A warming risotto recipe for two with a little kick. Butternut squash tend to only receive love in the autumn, but they tend to be readily available from the supermarket all year round. However, often we don’t know what to do with them. I mean, I think we’ve all walked past the trays of various…

About Me

Hi, I’m Holly, the self TAught foodie behind WFD Recipes.

I’m beginning my journey as a food blogger, sharing my favourite easy dinner recipes to whip up at home (and soon with handy shopping lists to go with them.) And I’d like to bring you along with me!

I’m that girl who will spend her Sundays planning her weekly meals, writing a detailed food shop and researching recipes online. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it!

And lucky for you, I’m here to do it for you.

The name What’s For Dinner Recipes sounds pretty self explanatory. However it actually all stemmed from my partner, Dan, who now texts me almost religiously every late afternoon with “WFD?” And I realised, how we (as in you, me, your work friends, your mum) ask each other this simple question all the time. And I wondered how many people replied “oh I don’t know.”

I felt the odd one out having every day planned and a new recipe to try every week. But people started to get interested in what I had “on the menu.”

So I started posting more of my dinners on Instagram, and Dan continued to send pictures of my meals to one of his best friends, and WFD Recipes began slowly, quietly forming as an idea in my head. And here we are, finally, a live website!

So let’s get your meals planned and your cupboards full, so you can always have the answer to that all important question… what’s for dinner?
